Segurazo Antivirus

Segurazo is an antivirus program that most researchers and users categorize as potentially unwanted because it tends to get installed without permission. Once in the system, Segurazo begins aggressively prompting the user to pay for the full version of the program by using scare tactics. How to uninstall Segurazo? YOU NEED TO ADD THE Segurazo Antivirus iNTO YOUR VIRUS AND UNWANTED APPLICATIONS DATABASE AS WELL AS REMOVING THE DATA DIRECTORIES (C: USER/DATA/SEGURAZO) AND ALL OF THE REGISTRY FILES NEED TO BE DELETED. THIS APPLICATIONS SNEAKS THROUGH TO YOUR PC AND INSTALLS ITSELF WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE. Segurazo antivirus, while an anti-virus, is not one that comes highly recommended. Segurazo antivirus claims to clean your system but it acts like malware by constantly highlighting threats that do not exist. It then tries to push software that a user must purchase in order to get rid of these infections. Segurazo Antivirus is a potentially unwanted program that describes itself as an anti-malware product that will protect your computer from malicious programs. When installed, Segurazo Antivirus is configured to start automatically with Windows and uses intentional false positives to convince you to purchase the premium version of this program.

Segurazo is a program whose developers classify it as anti-virus software. Based on the description of this program, it can scan the computer, detect various threats, and also protect the computer from malicious software. But, according to Security experts, this program belongs to the group of potentially unwanted programs (PUPs). The reason for this is that the program is distributed as part of free software. Most of the users on whose computer this program was installed were very surprised, because they did not download or install it. Moreover, they are faced with the fact that they can not remove Segurazo anti-virus using the standard features of the OS.

Security experts say that Segurazo is the so-called ‘system optimizer’. ‘System optimizers’ are a group of tools that, when scanning a system, finds a lot of fake problems, constantly displays fake warnings, with the sole purpose of forcing the user to buy the full version of the program. Since the full version of the program is able to remove all problems and restore the computer. Obviously, there is no need to buy the program, since all that it shows to the user is fake. You must ignore all fake messages and remove Segurazo as quickly as possible.

As we said above, Segurazo anti-virus is installed on the computer so that the user does not immediately notice it. That is, if you suddenly found it on your computer, then most likely that other unwanted software such as adware and browser hijackers could also be installed on your computer. Adware can display unwanted ads, and browser hijacker can change your browser settings, so your homepage or search engine will be replaced.

Segurazo removal instructions

What is Segurazo?

Segurazo antivirus (also known as SAntivirus) is described as anti-virus software that includes real-time protection, threat detection, and protection of data and passwords. In fact, this program is a potentially unwanted application (PUA), since it is distributed through the download or installation set-ups of other software. Many people download and install software of this type unintentionally.

Segurazo allows users to run a quick or full scan. To remove any detected threats, however, they are required to activate/register it - in effect, pay for the 'full version'. Do not trust programs that are offered in the set-ups of other software. Furthermore, these programs provide dubious results - they detect false issues and do not fix any real problems. In summary, they trick people into paying for bogus software registrations. There is a strong possibility that Segurazo is one of these rogue programs. Additionally, developers often add more than one PUA to download or installation set-ups. They use this method to distribute browser hijackers, adware-type apps, and other PUAs. Browser hijacking apps change browser settings to promote fake search engines or other dubious web addresses. Additionally, these PUAs record IP addresses, geolocations, URLs of opened pages, entered search queries, and other similar details relating to users' browsing habits. Developers share the data with other parties (potentially, cyber criminals) who misuse it to generate revenue. Adware-type apps show various ads (coupons, banners, surveys, pop-ups, etc.). If clicked, these lead people to untrustworthy websites. In some cases, they proliferate unwanted apps - once clicked, they run scripts that lead to download and installation of potentially unwanted applications.

There are many other apps that people download and install unintentionally including, for example, PC Speeder Pro, Smart Sys Care, and PC Booster Pro. Generally, these programs are advertised as legitimate, useful, and so on. In fact, they do not function as promised and provide no real value.

How did potentially unwanted applications install on my computer?

In some cases, potentially unwanted apps can be downloaded from supposedly 'official download websites', however, users often download/install them through the set-ups of other (usually free) software. I.e., when developers use the 'bundling' method and present PUAs as extra 'offers'. Typically, information about these additional downloads/installations is not properly disclosed, however, it can be found in 'Custom', 'Advanced', and other parts of the software set-ups. In other cases, people download or install PUAs when they click dubious ads that execute scripts designed to start the download or installation process of PUAs. In summary, inadvertent installations and downloads happen due to careless behaviour - when people leave the aforementioned settings unchanged or click ads that should not be trusted.

How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?

Download software and files from official and trustworthy websites. Third party software downloaders/installers, Peer-to-Peer networks such as eMule, torrent clients, various dubious pages, and other sources cannot be trusted. Check all available 'Advanced'/Custom' and other sections/settings of the download or installation setup and dismiss offers to download or install additionally-included, unwanted programs. Ads displayed on dubious sites (relating to gambling, adult dating, pornography, and so on) can lead to other untrustworthy websites. If the browser opens websites of this type or shows intrusive ads, check the list of installed extensions, plug-ins, and add-ons, and remove all suspicious, unwanted apps. The same should be applied to programs of this type installed on the operating system/computer. If your computer is already infected with PUAs, we recommend running a scan with Malwarebytes for Windows to automatically eliminate them.
